Wan Ling is a freelance graphic designer and an artist-facilitator who primarily experiments on the printmaking technique called linocut. She finds solace in slowing down, looking at beautiful things and reviving humankind’s disposition of creating—all of which are expressed through her art, craft and teaching philosophies.

Some of her artistic inspirations come from the decorative arts, the handicraft cultures of Asia and Western visual styles like Art Nouveau and Surrealism.

Traditional Art and Craft

As someone who employs the view that art and art-making itself should be democratically available, linocut is the artist’s preferred art medium on both practical and conceptual levels

Art Facilitation

Putting emphasis on the process rather than on the outcome of art-making, the artist is involved in the field of art facilitation for children in both classroom and home-based environments and also for older age groups in workshop settings
